School - too much work? | |||||||||||||||||||||
I think that everyone is willing to agree that school is time-consuming and tiresome. However, it seems to me that one could say the same about nearly everything in this world. Valuable things do not come easily, which is perhaps the reason why they are appreciated so highly.
It is clear that those aiming for good grades have to spend a great deal of time cramming, but after comprehensive school one can choose how much he works. We are free to skip classes or ignore our assignments. Of course, slacking will be reflected in the results, but there's nobody to pressure you to get the job done on time. At school, we can choose our own pace and set our own goals. Education takes effort, but as said, so does everything else. School is tough, but many things in life are much harder. | |||||||||||||||||||||
